The new things
The empty nest has officially happened. Charlotte has moved totally out and taken all her funiture plus some and has set up housekeeping in Chattanooga! She has painted her apartment and it is beautiful! It looks just like her and I think she will love living there. Job interviews are happening for her and in a few days ...back to school....Graduate School and a masters degree. WOW! Katie and Mitch and family are enjoying Christmas in Branson MO...wow...that sounds fun! So I couldn't stand having an empty room with no furniture ...so now the room has new PINK paint and all my favorite antiques! Char, sorry I changed it so fast after you moved out, but just couldn't stand it empty and GREEN!

THE NEXT HALF OF LIFE
Well, now that I am 50 I am going to find out what I want to do for the next half of my life! I know that God is in control and I know that my purpose is to follow Him, follow his commands, and to love others. Life is full of hardships, heartaches, sadness, happiness, and joy. Wonder what is ahead??? So proud of my children...Charlotte graduates in December and heads to Chattanooga, Katie is having fun being a Mom and I bet another little one will be on the way soon. Hint? Hint? I'm thinking I need to visit an antique store soon!

Things happen for a reason
Well, it has been a long time since I posted on my blog. I have been so busy "stretching" myself by doing something so out of my comfort zone with the flip house. I am almost finished. It is looking great and I feel good about it. The experience has been a life changing one for me in many ways. I won't ever be the same because of all I have learned including things about myself that I didn't know. I think that God put this experience in front of me for a reason. I get to choose what I do with it and how I handle things. I don't believe in coincidence anymore... and that includes the people in my life too.

Family is:
Family is a special gift...it is those we love whether our biological family or those in our life that we consider our family. It is sharing ...listening...crying together...forgiving each other...hugging....caring...just sitting together and not even saying anything....showing each other that we care.... giving of ourselves. I love my family and those I consider my family. May God bless each of you and give you peace and may you know you are so special to me and that I feel so blessed.
